BHGjumpingAs for me . . . this week I am jumping for joy about a new product I tried, absolutely love, and positively recommend.

Not long ago I was invited to attend a press event for the launch of two new additions to the  extremely popular Tensage line of dermatologist-dispensed skin care products: Tensage Stem Cell Cream  and Tensage Stem Cell Eye Cream. At the event, we were told that both contain a special protein that is harvested from the eggs of the Cryptomphalus aspersa snail (yes, snail), in a patented process. This technology helps push sleeping stem cells to convert into new skin cells, which in turn help increase collagen, elastin, fibronectin and epidermal thickness. In effect, these amazing creams help to create new, healthy skin cells!

In a double-blind study, participants enjoyed a 120% increase in collagen production! And as we all know, loss of collagen is one of the biggest challenges we face as we get older.

They asked us to use it exclusively for 12 weeks, which I did, and the results are in: my skin looks brighter, more even, softer and there seems to be a definite reduction in the number of fine lines and wrinkles, especially around my mouth and eyes (yes, those darn crows feet). tensage-stem-cell-biopelle_0

You have to go through your dermatologist, plastic surgeon or other healthcare provider to get the Tensage line, including these two new products. I already use a prescription-strength retinol product which I get from my doctor, and now I plan to add these two creams to the mix.

Here’s what I do: I use the Tensage Stem Cell Eye Cream every morning (I don’t like to use eye cream while I sleep as it sometimes get into my eyes and can irritate), Retin-A at night (often with a light layer of basic moisturizer over it), and the Tensage Stem Cell Cream over Skinceuticals CE Ferulic serum every day. Very often I’ll add a bit of sunscreen over that, and then finish with a tinted moisturizer (also with a built-in SPF). Simple!

Let me know what you think!

Until next time, remember this . . . We can’t control getting older . . . but . . . we CAN control how we do it!
